I ran a RootkitRemoval scan, and the only thing that caught my eye was

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\sptd\Cfg

Apparently, this is a driver for DAEMON Tools, but I uninstalled the program a long time ago, and in fact, my version of it had a virus. My question is, how do I get rid of this pernicious driver, as I suspect it is often pushing my CPU to about 100%?

With that said, I know that the Daemon Tools Driver can sometimes cause systems to run at a very high CPU percentage, which is the case here. How can I get rid of it?

Let's besure there isn't ant more malware lurking, then we'll get rid of the DAEMON Tools stuff.

This tool is not a toy. If used the wrong way you could trash your computer. Please use only under direction of a Helper. If you decide to do so anyway, please do not blame me or ComboFix.

1. Download this file - combofix.exe

2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply please, along with a new HijackThis log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.
