This is so incredibly odd. I went out this morning and when i came back i could hear music from my computer but I knew I'd turned off itunes before i'd left. "What the hell?", I thought as i got closer I heard -

am I hallucinating I asked myself? I've never heard anything like this and have never listened to anything even like this song on my computer, so now I get worried and know something must be up but was hoping it was just one of the many pop ups or browser windows I had open. Closed out Itunes and all browser windows and programs but no dice. I also just realized that I keep getting these recurring weird asian pop ups. I thought it was just coincidence up until now but I've been getting a bunch of popunders from websites that are completely in asian and I can't even tell what are for. they are ".com" domains though, not asian domains like .jp.

I looked up the song lyrics and apparently the song is "always there" by Secret Garden. Now I know somethings up for sure, what the hell? I've never even heard of this before. Anyway I ran HijackThis and am attaching the log below. I restarted and I havent heard the music since I restarted but I need to know that this computer is secure

I should also probably add that with 0 programs open this song kept playing on repeat until i shut the computer down

You have quite a collection of "junk" there, including back door trojans. Lets try a generic fix first, then go after what's left.


Download Combofix and save it to your desktop.

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.

When finished, it will produce a report for you.
• Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall

after I run combofix on my desktop, what steps should I take to know for sure that my system is entirely safe?This virus that was just playing crappy new age music is a wake up call to me - I deal with thousands of dollars on that computer on a daily basis and I need to be certain that it is secure, which it is obviously far from right now and I consider myself lucky. I've changed all my passwords to online accounts on my laptop and won't be running that desktop for now until it's up to snuff

You are getting way ahead of me. There is still a lot of garbage on your computer. ComboFix got some, but more important, will give me additional information to continue. Full cleaning is to take more than this one step. We'll deal with proteciton in the future, once you are clean. In the interim, backup all your important data to CD/DVD for offline storage.
