So I get on my laptop after work today and when I get it started up Windows Internet Explorer, MSN messenger, Yahoo Messneger and Itunes all are unable to connect to the internet but firefox does. I have Dell Inspiron 9100, running Windows XP sp2, i dont know what all info to give so ill give everything i can think of. I use AVG free version, it was able to update and i did a full scan and it found no problems, I updated Spybot S&D but it said no updates available( i think i did get some last week) and it found 37 problems which it fixed. i rebooted and Windows Internet Explorer, MSN messenger, Yahoo Messneger and Itunes all still dont work. Oh also Warcraft 3 can connect to battle net and guildwars connects and firefox but none of these others. um... also i guess yesterday and the day before, IE and iTunes were running really really slow and now not at all. Im sure this isnt enought info for you to help me solve my porblems but let me know what you need and i will get it. Thanks

K so i ran all my stuff again, Spybot S&d had an update, i ran it and it found a few things and killed them, I ran adaware again, it did not have an update, and yet found 213 infections... turned out to be categorized as Privacy objects, tracking cookies) which it fixed, while it was scanning AVG detected 2 viruses, both named "trojan horse downloader.Zlob.JN". it moved them to the virus vault but says they cant be healed. i ran AVG again and it says no problems detected, and after all this IE, MSN messneger, Yahoo messenger, and tunes will not connect .

First:
Run HiJackThis and press the Scan' button

When the scan is finished:
Check the following items in HijackThis.
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = 62.215.195.85:80

Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked.

Reboot in normal mode

Run HiJackThis again and post a new log in this thread.



Second:
Please download SilentRunners from here:
http://www.silentrunners.org/Silent%20Runners.zip

Unzip it to the desktop and double-click on it.
Silent Runners will ask if you want to skip the supplementary search.
Please select 'No' to include them.
The program will take longer to run, but will give us more information.

If you get any kind of warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

When the scan is finished, a message will pop up and a logfile will have been created on the desktop.
The logfile is named 'Startup Programs' by default and will be located where the program is.

Please post the entire contents of this logfile for me to see.
