Your log is clean.

How are you trying to delete the folder that isn't? Can you open it and delete any of the contents?
evilmuffin
no, it doesnt exsist at all but heres the folder, showing that its in my C drive

but heres my folder and it's nowhere to be found

i've tried viewing the hidden folders and it still doesn't show up uhm.gif
LoPhatPhuud
In your Folder Options, there two options that should be set as follows:

Open an Explorer window (double clicking on My Computer will get you one)

Select Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab

Under Hidden Files and Folders, select Show Hidden Files and Folder

The next item is Hide Extensions for Known File Types
Remove the check mark from this box for this item

Press OK

Now check to see if the folcer is visible
evilmuffin
it still doesnt show up :/
LoPhatPhuud
OK, lets check via rootkit detection for super hidden folders.

Please download F-Secure Blacklight (blbeta.exe) and save to your C:\ drive.
1. Open a command window by going to Start > Run and typing: cmd
2. Copy/paste or type the following in the command window:

C:\blbeta.exe /expert

3. Hit "Enter" to start the program and then close the cmd box.
4. Accept the user agreement and click "Next".
5 Click "Scan".
6. After the scan is complete, click "Next", then "Exit". BlackLight will create a log in C:\ drive named "fsbl-xxxxxxx.log" (the xxxxxxx will be the date and time of the scan).
7. The log will have a list of all items found. Do not choose to rename any yet! I want to see the log first because legitimate items can also be present...like "wbemtest.exe".
8. Exit Blacklight and post the contents of the log in your next reply.

Note: If you download Blacklight to your desktop, just double-click to run from there and it will create the "fsbl-xxxxxxx.log" on your desktop.

1. Now use Blacklight in exactly the same way as before, but when it shows the list of the items found, select each entry and choose to let Blacklite rename them by clicking the Rename button.
2. Next to each entry, "rename" should appear.
3. Click "Next".
4. Blacklight will give you a warning if you are sure. Click "Yes".
5. Then it will tell you: "Your computer will reboot now"
6. Click "Yes".
evilmuffin

and that link took me here so i clicked try now

and then i did the command window and this came up

so...i dont know whats up...let me know if its right or wrong
LoPhatPhuud
Sorry about that, they seemed to have moved things around.

Rather than take any more time trying to get Blacklight, do the following instead...

  • Click here to download AVG Anti Rootkit and save it to your desktop.

  • Double-click on avgarkt-setup-1.1.0.42.exe to install it.
  • Click "I Agree" to agree to the EULA.
  • By default it will install to "C:\Program Files\GRISOFT\AVG Anti-Rootkit".
  • Click "Next" to begin the installation then click "Install".
  • It will then ask you to reboot now to finish the installation.
  • Click "Finish" and your computer will reboot.
  • After it reboots, double-click on the AVG Anti-Rootkit shortcut that is now on your desktop.
  • Click on the Perform in-depth search button to begin the scan.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it complete.
  • When the scan is finished, click the Save result to file button.
  • Save the scan results to your desktop then copy and paste them in your next reply to this thread.
evilmuffin
this came up

should i push the secure now button?
LoPhatPhuud
Just use the Close button.

I believe the problem lies with a faulty display in AdAware. If you check the line displayed, it appears that there is an improperly displayed file. What it is most likely trying to tell you is C:\Documents and Settings\JAK\ Complete. The remainder of the line is excess garbage.

You can remove and re-install AdAware 1.06, or upgrade to the new AdAware (free version).

Nothing wrong with your system!
