In July of this year you posted here and Bobbi Flekman asked this question:

"Hi Larsky,

you've been here multiple times and so far have walked away in the midst of our handling your cases. Why would I help yuou if you aren't going to see it through until the end?"

You never did respond to that either. Sorry, but GSF is not available to you. PLease post your problem elsewhere.
larsky
Sorry about that, I know it was wrong that I just stopped replying and did not went through with it. I will do it through end this time If you could just help me out on this. I can't blame you guys if you decide not to. but this is a great site and you've helped a lot of other people like me.
LoPhatPhuud
Your system is seriously infected. Hopefully we can remove them all without resorting to reformat. but there are no guarantees. Do the two following items in the order given. In order to make sure all the log is posted, please use a different reply for each step.

First:
Please download VundoFix.exe to your Desktop
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button."
when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Second:
1. Download this file -
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. A window will open with a warning. Type "1" (and Enter) to start the fix.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

OK, some progress has been made.

FIrst:
1. Please download [url=1. Please download The Avenger by Swandog46 to your Desktop.
  • Click on Avenger.zip to open the file
  • Extract avenger.exe to your desktop

2. Copy all the text (including the words 'Files to delete:') contained in the code box below to your Clipboard by highlighting it and pressing (Ctrl+C):

c:\windows\system32\pankupwm.dll
C:\DOCUME~1\Khaleq\LOCALS~1\Temp\SGRGCSVX.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\08sn2HGg.exe

Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.

3. Now, start The Avenger program by clicking on its icon on your desktop.
  • Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".

  • After the restart, it creates a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
  • The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.

Run HiJackThis again and post a new log in this thread.

Fourth:
Please download SilentRunners from here:
http://www.silentrunners.org/Silent%20Runners.zip

Unzip it to the desktop and double-click on it.
Silent Runners will ask if you want to skip the supplementary search.
Please select 'No' to include them.

The program will take longer to run, but will give us more information.

If you get any kind of warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

When the scan is finished, a message will pop up and a logfile will have been created on the desktop.
The logfile is named 'Startup Programs' by default and will be located where the program is.

Please post the entire contents of this logfile for me to see.

That's great so far. The Avenger log confirmed what I suspected; the files had already been deleted. Just a left over service to remove and we should be in good shape.

FIrst:

Open a Command Prompt Window (Start -> Run -> cmd)
Enter the following commands: (then press 'Enter')
sc delete "SGRGCSVX"
exit

Second:
Run HiJackThis again and post the log in this thread.

Third:
Advise of any outstanding issues. You may want to run AVG again and see if it detects anything. From the logs this far, you should be clean, but I want to be sure.
larsky
That sounds great, will run avg again and will keep you posted, anyway here is the HJT log

I need the file name, or preferrably the AVG AntiSpyware log. Other than this one item, your system is clean. Hopefully, this is a minor issue.
larsky
I think we did it. I ran AVG anti virus and anti spyware and It came out clean. Thanks for all your help.. This site really rocks..
