I sent a short email from outlook express tonight to my work college. but it was returned to me.
Here is the email that was returned:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at dediquick.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

This list goes on an on.

Right at the bottom of the returned email is the original message that I sent. I find this strange.
I resent the message with no problems.

Some of the '04' entries look suspicious to me...

Your log is clean. THere is nothing wrong from your end. The errors that say 'Could not find host' are self explanatory. To the internet, and your ISP's mailing program, the final server does not exist. Usually this comes from a DNS error, however, it may also have been a general internet failure.

THe other errors lead me to believe there was a major internet burp going to Switzerland from your ISP.

You can safely assume this is a transitory problem. If it happens often, then I would discuss it with your ISP.
