Use Windows Search (Start > Search > For Files or Folders), to search for the following file:
NTVQGAFI.exe

Please go to VirusTotal and submit the file for a scan and post the results in your next reply.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

I tried Use Windows Search (Start > Search > For Files or Folders), to search for the following file:
NTVQGAFI.exe
the result was that the computer can not find the file, and not find results. i tried virus total and type the file in and it says cannot find file. i tried vundofix and after scan and remove it says no file found

Please copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the following text in the quote to Notepad. Save it as "All Files" and name it FixServices.bat Please save it on your desktop.



Double click FixServices.bat. A window will open and close. This is normal.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
* Once the scan is complete, Right Click inside the listbox (white box) and click add more files
* Copy&Paste the entry below into the top box

* Click Add Files and Click Close Window
* Click the Remove Vundo button.
* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES

1) Please download the Killbox.
Save it to the desktop and run it.

2) Select "Delete on Reboot", and then select "All files".

3) Copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

4) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

5) Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

Updating Java

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1.
• Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
• Click the "Download" button to the right.
• Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
• The page will refresh.
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6-windows-i586.exe to install the newest version.

Post the contents of the ActiveScan report, please, and a new HijackThis log. How is it running?

Hello,

1. Please download The Avenger by Swandog46 to your Desktop.

• Click on Avenger.zip to open the file
• Extract avenger.exe to your desktop

2. Copy all the text contained in the code box below to your Clipboard by highlighting it and pressing (Ctrl+C):



Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.

3. Now, start The Avenger program by clicking on its icon on your desktop.

• Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".
• Now click on the Magnifying Glass icon which will open a new window titled "View/edit script"
• Paste the text copied to clipboard into this window by pressing (Ctrl+V).
• Click Done
• Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
• Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.

4. The Avenger will automatically do the following:

• It will Restart your computer. ( In cases where the code to execute contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually restart your system twice.)
• On reboot, it will briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
• After the restart, it creates a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
• The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.

5. Please copy/paste the content of c:\avenger.txt into your reply along with a fresh HJT log by using Add/Reply

I managed to get rid of C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnlijk.dll and a bunch of other things that i thought were viruses in safe mode.

please check the hijackthis log to see if my computer is clean

You surely did manage to get rid of it. :) Run HijackThis and put a check next to that orphan :

Click "Fix checked" and reboot. How is it running now?

there is stilll two virus that pops up
C:\ibss.exe and C:\msdma.exe
i open local disk and scroll down and the file pops up and the warning virus pops up

it says it is infected with MemScan:Trojan.Vundo.AJ

Has this been happening all along? Or did it just start? It's not showing in your log. Let's look at some loading points. This may also get rid of it as well :

1. Download this file - combofix.exe
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply please, along with a new HijackThis log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.

it was weird when the programed finished a whole bunch of virus warning popped up. about 11 came up

Okay, I was trying to avoid this, but since there seems to be nothing that you can tell me, then we'll go the long route. :)

Please go Here to run Panda's ActiveScan. (You must use IE for this one). http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm
Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button

A new window will open...click the Check Now button.
Enter your State/Providence
Enter your E-mail address and click send.
Select either Home user or Company.

Click the big Scan Now button

* If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
* It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a few minutes)

When the download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan.

When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save report and save it to a convenient location (activescan.txt to desktop).
Post the contents of the ActiveScan report, please.

Download Silent Runners.zip and extract it to a new folder on your Desktop.

• Run the Silent Runners.vbs file.
• You will receive a prompt: "Do you want to skip supplementary searches?" - click "NO."
• If your antivirus has a script blocker, you will get a warning asking if you want to allow Silent Runners.vbs to run.
• This script is not malicious so please allow it.
• A text file will appear in the folder - it's not done, let it run. (It won't appear to be doing anything!)
• Once the "All Done!" prompt flashes up, open the text file, and copy & paste it in your next reply.

Please download, install, and update AVG Anti-Spyware (formerly Ewido)

• Load AVG and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
• After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
• Click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run, so be prepared.
• AVG will list any infections found on the left hand side. When the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. AVG will display "All actions have been applied" on the right hand side.
• Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again (like on the Desktop).

Please post that report also in your reply. :)
