There is nothing in your log.

Most likely it is a software issue and I Kasapersky may be part of the problem. A shutdown of three minutes may se em long, but it may also be normal, depending on what your computer is doing. Mine takes about a minute and a half to two minutes, but its perfectly normal. The delay getting the Logoff/Shutdown/Restart screen is unusual, but not unwarranted. In Kaspersky settings, try turning off Application Integrity Control (ProActive Defense).

Its already turn off... heres another info.... after a reboot i tried to shut it down an it works fine then after an hour tried it again and thats the time were the problem stars... ive try this several times. The last thing ive done before this problem happen was the ff:

1. make a partition using partition majic
2. install and used data keeper ver.5
3. install google desktop search ver.4 (which i already uninstalled after suspecting that its indexing causes the problem)
4. installing IE 7
5. Accidentally removing all my windows components.

I dont know which one of these causes the problem..... any idea?

tnx,
sempai
LoPhatPhuud
Any or all of them. Too hard to tell.

Mighit be best to restore to a point where things were working.
sempai
i disable system restore since i started to make a daily buck up (using data keeper) im afraid i already deleted all the restore points.... im suspecting 2 of them 1 is google desktop search and the other is the windows components... do you know what are the default windows components being installed when you install xp home? i can try to put them back using my xp cd....
sempai
or i can do a reformat on my c drive... pls teach me how to reformat and how to reinstall xp home..... i cant leave w/ this problem, its very annoying...
LoPhatPhuud
If you have a recovery partition, or recovery CD's, boot from them and it will reformat as part of the install.
sempai
i only have xp home cd, partition majic cd and kaspersky rescue disk (w/c can be used to boot-up)... i dont know if this are the cd's that youre saying..... pls teach me in more detailed way, its my 1st time to do formatting...
LoPhatPhuud
Unfortunately, helping with reformatting is beyond the scope of this forum. It is not that I can't help; but rather that I only have a cetain amount of time available and prefer to spend it wroking on sypware/malware.

Try our Operating Systems Forum here: http://gladiator-antivirus.com/forum/index.php?showforum=225

Ask for help reformating and re-installing using your XP Home CD.
sempai
ok i already done it, tnx for the usual support...

tnx,
sempai
