i got on my laptop today and did the usual and tried to get on AIM. but i came up saying that every time i tried to get in "sign in failed, try again"
and so i keep doing it over and over and over and over again. i get to the pt where i'm just getting pissed that it isn't working. i'm not sure if it's just AIM not working for today or if there is something wrong with it.

I suggest you uninstall AIM via Add/Remove Programs. Reboot. Deleter all remaining folders for AIM. Then re-install.

I am assuming, of course, that you have no other problems using the internet.
