I recently realized that I might have a virus on my aol instant messenger. I know all about the viruses that go around and how you can get them by clicking the links in profiles/im's that are sent to you. I have never clicked any of these links. But for some reason in one of my screen names profiles there is a link that says "Less right clicks, use the away page!". The link goes to an offical aol site. It only has this on one of my screen names even though i have a bunch and i did not put it in my profile. I dont know how it got in there since i never clicked anything or put in their myself. I looked on aol's website and i dont think that it is an ad put in by them since no one else has it. I looked at my log and I didn't see anything but I might have missed something. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

I see nothing in your logs. I would check in the AIM program to see if possibly this is a setting you clicked accidentally.

You might also go to AIM help and ask.

Thanks for all the help. I tried to find someware to get help from aol but there really isnt any place besides FAQ's and those dont help me. They have a report a problem section but it is only for reporting issues and they wont send you a reply back for your problem. I guess i am just stuck. I think I am going to try and uninstall and reinstall the messenger.
I tried the AIM Fix but it isnt working on my computer for some reason.
I looked to see if maybe it was a setting but I cant seem to find it so I dont think it is.

Thanks for the second link. This time it worked and I ran it but it didn't find anything and the link is still in my profile. It has to be some kind of setting but I couldn't find it when I looked for it the first time. I reported the problem to aol but they dont guarantee replies back. I'll have to look again for the settings.
