A 'kind' spyware peddler has infected my machine and would now like to 'help' me by having me purchase WinAntiVirusPro and WinGuard. :wall:

Hi Bluebyu,

Please disable SpybotSD TeaTimer, as it may hinder the removal of the infection. You can enable it after you're clean.
To disable SpybotSD TeaTimer:

Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner
Click on System Startup icon
Uncheck Teatimer box
Click Allow Change box

Please print this out as you won't be able to see it in Safe mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.

Then, reboot to Safe mode (tap F8 while restarting).

Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
You will first be presented with a warning and a list of forums to seek help at.
But please continue here.

At this point press enter one time.

Next please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnnn.dll

Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.

For the second filepath, type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):
(( it's the same file spelled backwards))

C:\Windows\System32\nnnmp.dll

Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.

The fix will run then HijackThis will open.

In HijackThis, please place a check next to the following items:

After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.


Pressing any key will cause a "Blue Screen of Death" this is normal, do not worry!

Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.

Take a look for any of these files, and if found, delete them:

Next, take a free Online Virus scan at Panda ActiveScan
If any infected files are found, delete them.
Then please post the log from it.
Also post a new HJT log, and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder.
