I'm not sure, maybe. Whenever there are thumbnails or a banner/ad on a page, it won't show. Instead I get an "[AD]" sign that I can click to get to the link.

Example on the bottom of the GS forum:

Yup, you are being paranoid. That sounds like you have adblocking software installed and your browser is telling you an add normally goes there.
