I have multiple virus infection. I seem to have lost my hijack this from my desktop and I can't access it from the folder. Please advise location to download new file and I will post Hijack this log. I have already scanned with adaware and AVG. Please advise.

Download *Hijack This!* (current version is 199.1)
http://www.castlecops.com/downloads-file-328.html
http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip to a folder other than your Desktop or the Temp folder. Then, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that and copy & paste its contents here.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet. Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

THere is nothing in your log.

If AVG is telling you your system is infected, please advise the detections it alerts you to. If possible, post the AVG report/log.

Also describe any unusl symptoms you are having.

I check my AVG log and all of the virus's were in the temporary internet files. I deleted them and re-ran the AVG and all of the virus's are gone. Thank you for taking the time to help, I really appreciate it!
