My computer's internet speed has slowed down. At times,my web search bar doesnt open the pages typed and shows page not found.
My norton antivirus has just expired and i am afraid that my comp has been affected by some virus. Can you please check my log and tell me if there is any problem?
Also,are there any sites that provide free norton antivirus?

Copy this command and then right click in the command window and click paste from the menu:

This is a test so tell me what happens.

Again, let me know what happens.

hi,
sorry about the confusion last time. i definately followed your advice.
i downloaded winsock fix and didnt run it.
Ran cmd.exe

Pasted -windows\system32\rlvknlg.exe /uninstall- in command window and presed enter.
Got msg -The system cannot find the path specified.

Pasted -NSCheck /uninstall
got msg- 'NSCheck is not recognised as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file.


Couldnt find rlvknlg.exe in the task manager processess window.


Didnt find this entry in Hijack this;

Please advice what should i do next.

Copy the contents of the quote box to Notepad.
Name the file Search hooks.reg
Save as Type : all files
Double click on Search hooks.reg and say yes to the prompt.



Run hijackthis and fix this item.

Very odd that the file and entry are both gone. I agree.

Are you still having problems navigating and getting Page Not Found?


You have to get some Anti Virus protection which is up to date. And a Firewall. That is your top priority. Do that first and then uninstall the Norton.
