I hope someone can help me?

I went to Trend micro site, ran free scan, I deleted all but 4 trojans. Went to symantec free online scan, dumped a few more. Also ran spybot, adawareSE, blaster, ccsetup, hsremove, cwshredder, kill2me, ewido, got rid of 35 problems, so many others cant remember.

I also went into safe mode, to do this. I also stopped my system restore.

The desktop has no right click, no background, and it flashes from white background to gray background, with a band of blue at top of screen occasionally. Cant change anything or add to desktop?

I used hijack this, but was afraid to delete in there, so decided to come here for some help.

The problems I have mostly seen are: downloader.trojan; backdoor.trojan; wi32.exe; topantispyware; trojan.abwiz; init32m.exe ;several search urls; thun32.dll; ocfeksr.exe; Flsmngr.dll

Because XP will not always show you hidden files and folders by default.
Reset your search settings first.

Open Folder Options>view and check your settings:
Select
Show hidden files and folders
Display the contents of system folders
Uncheck: Hide protected operating system files
Next go to Search and scrolldown using the scroll bar on the right. Go down to More advanced options and click.
Be sure the first three boxes are selected:
Search System folders
Search Hidden Files and folders
Search SubFolders

Start the program and then check the I know what I'm doing box.

Disconnect from the internet.
Move all instances of flsmngr.dll
to the Remove pane.
click the Finish Button.

Virtual Maid
Search Maid

Exit Add/Remove Programs.


Restart into Safe mode:

Run Killbox.exe by double clicking on it.

Select Delete on Reboot.

Say no when prompted to restart. Close the killbox.

If not, then run the WinsockFix you downloaded earlier.

For the desktop:

For your desktop problem see if this helps:

Copy the contents of the Quote box to notepad.
Name the file out.reg
Save as type:All files
Save it someplace where you will remember it, like My documents.

Double click on out.reg and say yes to the prompt.



Restart the computer.

Go to Display properties and click the desktop tab.
Click the Customize Desktop Button.

Click the Web tab and remove the checkmark from the the Lock Desktop Items box.
Apply.
Apply and Exit Display properties.

In display Properties > Desktop
Choose a new background color and picture. Apply.

Close Display properties. If you need to, click the desktop and press F5 to refresh.



Run hijackthis and post the new log.

Post a startuplist please. In Hijackthis press the Config Button
Click Misc Tools
Check both boxes next to the Generate StartupList log and then click the generate startuplist log button.

Do you use a Firewall of any kind? I don't see one listed. Maybe you are using a Hardware Firewall.

Dont forget to turn System Restore back on.
