I think I've really done it this time. I'm normally very careful with .exe files, but this time I got lazy and opened one and now my comp's screwed.

I can't even open HJT to get a HJT file! >.<. Norton won't open, I'm trying an online virus scan from http://www.antivirus.com because it's the only one I can actually open. I tried to do a system restore, but I couldn't even get the program to open, instead the grapic file described below would open.

Most of the shortcuts (including one's to system restore and such) are now opening a window, graphic file with, Intelligence Recource Program written on a black surface, A spy/agent smoking next to it, and the French flag with CyberBob33 Bx, The French Hacker next to that. The last one gave it away.

Yes, you really did a number on yourself.

YOu might try resetting your Hosts file, but beyond that, unless the online AV scan cleans it up, you might as well reformat and re-install.

figured as much. seeing what I can salvage and guess I'll think of it as spring cleaning >.< lol
