Again i have tried clicking on the link toadbee left this time as a registered member. The same as last time happens, it takes me to the forum rules page and then when i click on the link that you ask every1 to read it just takes me back to the same page or redirects me to one of the sites i listed before. What can i do next?

Hi can you please help me!!! i've had trouble for months now! my computer is infected with something tho i don't know what. It redirects me to pages when i try to access a normal webpage it often won't let me see images you just get the box with the red cross in it. If i try to log in to ebay or hotmail it just says cannot find server or says something else meaning i can't log on. It has changed my homepage to easy-search.biz and won't let me change it.

Also i get lots of runtime errors all the time which i didn't used to get. I've just tried to log onto hotmail and its come up with this: iframe src=pornlandz

Hi, i tried to download the adaware and spybot programs that you mentioned from the links you gave but it won't let me download them. It either redirects me to the usual pages or comes up with an error message file not found or this page cannot be displayed. Also, uncheck the boxes for hiding known file extensions and hiding protected operating system files. We want to see it all. When we finish here, it would be a good idea to rehide the protected operating system files but leave the rest to be shown.

Reboot in normal mode.


Second:
Download DelDomains.inf from here:

Right-click on the deldomains.inf file and select 'Install'

When its finished your IE Zones wil lbe reset. That will make it necessary to re-install protection using SpywareBlaster and to re-install IE/Spyads, if you use them.


Third:
1.Download the Hoster from here:

2. Install the program and run it.
3. Press 'Restore Original Hosts' and press 'OK'
4. Exit Program.

Note: This program also has a Hosts file backup facility that may want to use if you have added custom entries to the Hosts file.

Items are deleted normally. You do not use HJT to delete them. Navigate to the file and deletel Use Safe Mode if so intructed.

I've tried to do what you listed but have come up with a few problems.
I deleted everything that you said but searched for and couldn't find:

Also i think that i may have deleted something i shouldn't have done because i can't go onto any webpage now. When i click on the internet explorer tab on my desktop it goes to load as usuall but after a short space of time it comes up with the error message 'This page cannot be displayed' cannot find server or DNS error, which means i was unable to download the programs you asked me to in steps 2 and 3. Everything i deleted is still in my recycle bin if this helps. I ran Hijackthis again when i had finished deleting and saved the log on disk, The new log is below:

I restored everything that was in my recycle bin and it still doesn't work. I can't go on to any webpage at all. Do you think it would be better if i just uninstalled my NTL broadband and then installed it again with the start-up cd?
My friend said that he thought with Windows XP it stores your settings fron time to time so i could go back to a certain date and restore those settings, can i do this?

If enabled, System Restore will let you go back.

i did exactly what you asked me this time and the exact same thing happened as last time, once i had finished removing all the things you told me to and restarted in normal mode i could not get onto any webpage. Again i could not find the following files:

I can find two files when looking for r?ndll.exe but neither of them match exactly. One of them is RUNDLL and the other rundll so i don't know which one to delete if indeed i should delete either. Also i notice when going through my HJT log that in the 015 section i have things like xxxtoolbar do i not need to fix these too?

I am trying to download HJT version 199.1 but my computer doesn't like me downloading things and when i click on the link from your site it won't direct me to the computercops page.

First:
Your Hosts file my be corrupted.

1.Download the Host FileReader from here:
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/HostsFileReader.zip
2. Install the program and run it.
3. Double click on the Hosts file name in the bottom window.
4. Press 'Reset Default' and press 'OK'
5. Exit Program (do not press 'Save Changes'

This will fix the O15 entries:

Download DelDomains.inf from here:

Right-click on the deldomains.inf file and select 'Install'

When its finished your IE Zones wil lbe reset. That will make it necessary to re-install protection using SpywareBlaster and to re-install IE/Spyads, if you use them.
