system: windows xp
browser: IE6
network connection type: dial-up 56k modem

situation: on sunday everytime i connected to the 3web(my dial-up server), an IE window would pop up and tried to connect to "j0r". the CPU usage was 100% then. so i came to this forum and got some help here(thx very much), basically deleted some file by HJT. Sunday night i thought i got my comp fixed, cuz at 1am when i tried to connect to 3web again, everything was fine. and until 3:00pm this afternoon, my dad had been using the internet and nothing had happened. however, at 5pm, the net slowed down again. Even after closing all the IE windows, the received byte and sent byte still shoot up to 120000!(remember im using a dial-up service with a download speed usually around 5k/s). After that everytime i connected to internet, things were just like sunday, except the cpu usage is around 50% (i think it's normal cuz i know i have some other viruses in my system.), and this time no "j0r" stuff appears. However, when i tried to go to a website like google, it either goes extremely slow or went to another website called "badurl. grandstreetinteractive" thingie. plz help me. thx very much.

Before we begin, please be sure that HiJackThis is in its own folder. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary. Please do not put HiJackThis in a temporary folder, or on the Desktop. I suggest using 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' or C:\HiJackThis\, but any name you choose is fine.

Reboot in Safe Mode* and run HiJackThis. <-- IMPORTANT

Check the following items in HijackThis.
(note: If any R* items do not appear in Safe Mode, re-run HiJackThis in Normal Mode and remove them after you finish removing these items.)

Also, uncheck the boxes for hiding known file extensions and hiding protected operating system files. We want to see it all. When we finish here, it would be a good idea to rehide the protected operating system files but leave the rest to be shown.

Reboot in normal mode.

Run HiJackThis again and post a new log in this thread.
