Recently I have been getting loads of pop-ups, even though I have tried to block Pop-ups. I also have Polall found on my computer be AVG and TrendMicro, and neither of them can seem to delete it. Anyway, I'm new to this whole thing and aren't the best with computers, and was hoping that someone could help. Thanks in advance

Here are some simple steps you can take to reduce the chance of infection in the future.

1. Visit Windows Update:
Make sure that you have all the Critical Updates recommended for your operating system and IE. The first defense against infection is a properly patched OS.

2. Adjust your security settings for ActiveX:]

Hi, thanks a lot for the help, so far no problems! Just one more question though, what do you think about FireFox? I don't know much about it or how it differs from the good ol' Internet Explorer, and was hoping for advice into whether it would a good idea to get it? or a waste of time as it doesn't differ in any noticeable way from IE?
