You can try removing the two entries I have specified below and see if you can boot in Normal Mode. I would not hold out too much hope, though, and if it does not work, then I suggest you re-install Windows.

Before we begin, please be sure that HiJackThis is in its own folder. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary. Please do not put HiJackThis in a temporary folder, or on the Desktop. I suggest using 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' or C:\HiJackThis\, but any name you choose is fine.

Check the following items in HiJackThis:
F1 - win.ini: run=fntldr.exe C:\WINDOWS\..\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\MSInfo\info32.exe C:\WINDOWS\..\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\MSInfo\msinfo.exe

O16 - DPF: {886DDE35-E955-11D0-A707-000000521958} - http://69.56.176.78/webplugin.cab

Close all open windows except HiJackThis and press 'Fix Checked'.

Reboot.

As I mentioned before, unless you can boot into Safe Mode, then re-install Windows.

hmmm, i by accident turned off the surge protector. that shut down the entire computer. i restarted, some thing came up saying it had to check the consisentcy of fat32. i clicked cancel...the computer loaded and i noticed that log on my desktop. it happened about 6:30ish iwanna say...what is the java thing anways???
Hunter
besides that then is you PC now OK..and are we still talking about the same PC which i have now merged the other logs..

http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?thre...573875&tstart=0

If you lost power..and then the PC had to scan disk etc to put the OS back together along with the open programs you have when you lost power..then that could just be a log dump of what had to transpire to build back your applications.

IE uses one type of Microsoft Java..but you also have no sunjava with your firefox.

Are you going to some day upgrade that OS to SP2 ??
sport938
actually its a different computer. sorry for the confusion. the one you merged wont update. i'm going to get that one fixed. this one, the one with the question is the one with the java thing.
