Hi.

I've recently got this problem with the 'view source' command. Everytime I try it, I get a message saying "Connection Error". My modem disconnects and a small notepad file appears on my desktop leading to some -- Look for another playground -- gambling thing.

Not sure what to do here, not even sure this is a spyware problem as it seems to be isolated to that command. Anyway heres the Hijack log file, maybe someone can help with this weird problem...

That is an extremely brief HJT log. Do you have items on the ignore list?

The view source problem is most likely a corrupted Notepad file. You can downlaod a replacement file form here:

Was wondering if someone could help me...

My Internet connections keeps cutting off and redialling under a totally new connection, and when I try to see the connection it disappears.

It doesn't effect my browsing, but it's just... irritating. So I was wondering if any of you guys could check out my log to see if there is a problem.

Before we begin, please be sure that HiJackThis is in its own folder. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary. Please do not put HiJackThis in a temporary folder, or on the Desktop. I suggest using 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' or C:\HiJackThis\, but any name you choose is fine.

Reboot in Safe Mode* and run HiJackThis. <-- IMPORTANT

Check the following items in HijackThis.

Here are some simple steps you can take to reduce the chance of infection in the future.

1. Visit Windows Update: <-- YOU NEED TO DO THIS!!
Make sure that you have all the Critical Updates recommended for your operating system and IE. The first defense against infection is a properly patched OS.
