Keep getting this pop-up

Screenshot

Have Spyguard so it isn't able to able to add the BHO) arriving every 2 to 3 minutes, but you can imaging how annoying it is.

Have tried to remove *.static.topconverting.com and *.frame.crazywinnings.com via HijackThis but they won't go away.

Earlier I kept getting a pop up wanting to instal winfb.dll. This seems to have happened, despite me saying no. (Possible that I stuffed up, as it was all bit fraught for a while.) (SCREEN SHOT)

Here is the Hijack log.

Hi sedge3041,

Please move HijackThis to another location, preferably c:\Program Files\HijackThis. Anywhere is fine, other than your Desktop or a Temp folder. If HijackThis is in a temporary folder you run the risk of accidentally deleting the backups or it clutters your desktop with all the backups.
If you use Windows XP it might be that you just double clicked on the file HijackThis.exe, but that only extracts the file to a temporary folder. Please select the file and Extract it to a folder.

How do you make a permanent folder:

Click "My Computer", then "C:\" and then on "Program Files".
In the menu bar, "File"->"New"->"Folder".
That will create a folder named "New Folder", which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis".
Now you have "C:\Program Files\HijackThis". Put your HijackThis.exe there.

Run HijackThis, click on "Scan" and check the boxes next to all these items.

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINNT\System32\Userinit.exe

There are restrictions set on Control Panel. If you or your system administrator has not put this restriction on Control Panel, also check this item.

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

O9 - Extra button: Related - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINNT\web\related.htm
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Show &Related Links - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINNT\web\related.htm

O15 - Trusted Zone: *.frame.crazywinnings.com
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.static.topconverting.com

Then close all windows, and browsers, except HijackThis. Tell HijackThis to "Fix checked".

Restart your computer in Safe Mode. How do I Safe Boot my computer?

Show hidden files. How do I show hidden files?

Delete the following files in red (it could be that they are deleted already):

C:\WINNT\web\related.htm

Restart your computer and post a new log in this thread.

Hi sedge,

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as Export.bat and save it on your Desktop.

CODE
regedit /e domains.reg "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains"

Locate Export.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it. This will create a file on your desktop named domains.reg. Attach this to a new post.
sedge3041
O.K. Done.
sedge3041
File attached

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as fixme.reg and save it on your Desktop.

CODE
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains]
@=""
"Trusted"="1"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\frame.crazywinnings.com]
"*"=dword:00000004

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\static.topconverting.com]
"*"=dword:00000004
Locate fixme.reg on your Desktop and double-click on it.
You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?".
Answer "Yes" and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

We'll turn the tables on them. From the Trusted Zone to the Restricted Zone..
After that post a new log from HijackThis.
sedge3041
The message I got was "Are you sure you want to add the information in c\doc .... fixme.reg to the registry", which I assume is the "similar you mentioned (?) So that's been done.

New Hijack log.

While doing this I've been still getting the Spyguard warning pop up - in fact as I'm typing.

Assume that a reboot will be required (?) Just guessing, I'm applying logic, not knowledge.

Hi sedge3041,

There are a few unknown programs that you have running. So I don't know whether your clean. How is your computer running now?

A reboot shouldn't be necessary. What did the popup say?
sedge3041
Rebooted anyhow and is still happening.

This is the screen shot of what pops up. (LINK)
If I'm away from the computer and obviously don't click off the pop up the computer shuts down. (?)

Noticed this (SCREEN SHOT) The time coincides with the hijacking.

Significant, relevant?
sedge3041
Does this - SCREENSHOT (taken after I did all you suggested) provide you with any useful information?
sedge3041
To see what might be achieved I sent winffb.dll and javaxy.exe to the recycle bin and rebooted.

Now this pop up Spyguard warning appears SCREENSHOT

Also this one SCREENSHOT

However according to the Task Manager SCREENSHOT it is already running.

Most confusing to this (admittedly, not very technically minded) Aussie.

Please go here and enter the file into the editbox, alternatively click "Choose" and navigate to the file, afterwards press "Submit".
That sends a copy of the file to their virus checker to see if it is infected. Please post back the report.
Could you also zip it and submit it to my emailaddress.
sedge3041
The file report.

Scanned file: addlg32.exe
addlg32.exe - packed with UPX
addlg32.exe - infected by Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.ap

(When I send the file to the recyle bin it reappears with different name - same size etc.)

Hi sedge3041,

Check your computer with the following free anti-virus/anti-trojan products.

Housecall Anti Virus Panda Anti Virus Trojan Scan

And, here's the link to McAfee AVERT Stinger and instructions for use.

Be sure and put a check in the box by "Auto Clean" before you do the scan. If it finds anything that it cannot clean have it delete it or make a note of the file location, so you can delete it yourself.

Maybe one of these will kill the trojan.
sedge3041
Thanks for all your help but nothing seemed to be working. Kept shutting down during virus scans. Bit the bullet and did a clean installation of XP. Again thanks.
