Hi everyone.
This is first time I have EVER posted anything anywhere so bear with a newbie who is at his wits end. I have been going round in circles with Spybot and Adaware 6.0 for days.Cannot get rid of 2 Spybot discoveries called DSO exploit and CoolWWWsearch. I discovered Hijack this and have successfully run it and now have a Hijack this Log and am desperate for some analysis of it as it is double dutch to me . After registering here I have followed your advice and have now uninstalled Adaware 6.0 and downloaded Adaware SE.
This is the log :-

Please help as I am going nuts !
Many many thanks.
yorkie
SUCCESS !!

I don't believe it !
I downloaded the latest Adaware SE from via your site and on installation it connected for the latest update successfully.
After running it the 2 offending items were found and fixed. I rebooted and ran it yet again. I then ran Spybot again. It looked as if it was all clear.
I reset my IE Homepage which was being Hijacked all ne time and it WORKED !!

Advice - get the latest Adaware with the update !
This was the worst virus I ever had. How come it got through Norton ?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Yorkie,

Can you post a new HijackThis log? I don't think that AdAware was able to handle one of the infections in your log...
