Hi NexusX,

did you follow the instructions from the 4th of October? A quick scan shows the same things in this log... Like bridge.dll, pvsvhbk.exe and NaviSearch.

I haven't had time to really look at your log, but I will.

Run HijackThis, click on "Scan" and check the boxes next to all these items.

You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?".
Answer 'Yes' and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

Restart your Computer in Safe Mode. How do I Safe Boot my computer?

You may have to have hidden files showing. How do I show hidden files?

Delete the following files in red (it could be that they are deleted already):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\pvsvhbk.exe

Delete the following folders in red (it could be that they are deleted already):

C:\Program Files\NaviSearch

Restart your computer and post a new log.

Bobbi,
All is well, and life is good. Just to see if I could figure this out, I did something I havn't done before, I read the log file carefully, and picked out things that looked suspicious to me, and checked them off. I got all the ones you posted in your reply, and also checked two DPFs that turned out to be ok, I had just forgotten I installed them. I kept these. This is pretty interesting stuff.
2 questions:
1) I have a small sideline business repairing and configuring PCs. Is there a problem with me making use of Gladiator when I can't solve problems on my own with the utilities Gladiator supports, and
2) How does one get the training to learn how to do what you do here, and is there a way I can join the team?
I LOVE computers, I'm the guy all my co-workers and friends come to for help on theirs, and I'd enjoy helping others like you've helped me.

You can go to http://forums.spywareinfo.com and sign up to join Boot Camp. There you will learn how to read a Hijack This log, how to determine what's good or bad and how t get rid of the bad ones. Alternatively you can go to http://forums.tomcoyote.org and join the Classroom.

Hi NexusX,

just one thing left, I noticed I had accidentally added a space in front of the key in the reg script. So that wasn't done right.

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as fixme.reg and save it on your Desktop.
