Ratto
Hi .. hello everyone , i´m ratto , i will introduce my self , but later rolleyes.gif
i just know about this forum today and i´m really  with my machine

I already read the posts that have been sent , but still cant fix the problem

One of the things a notice .. is that in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ , i have a file named " hosts " , that contained some entries with 127.0.0.1 to some of the links pages of symantec and others.
I erase that file , but when i restart the machine , the file apears again
Also a note , if i try to open norton antivirus and enable the autoprotect before erase this file ( hosts ) , the machine stop , i lose all acess to the program also like if a try to open for exemple the recycle bin , it also stops

Well .. heres my log from hijack .. hope u can help me :thumb:

First:
Please go here and do an AV scan at one (preferably two) of the following:
Panda's Active Scan
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/co...n_principal.htm

Trend Micro (PC-cillin) - Free on-line Scan
http://housecall.antivirus.com

RAV Antivirus Online Scan
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/

eTrust AV web scanner (Computer Associates)
http://www3.ca.com/virusinfo/virusscan.aspx

Second:
Before we do anything, please move HiJackThis to a permanent folder. I suggest 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' but any folder other than the Desktop or a temporary folder is fine. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary

Check the following items in HijackThis.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [windows] hkey.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [windows] hkey.exe

Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Reboot in Safe Mode* and delete the following: (you may need to show hidden files**)
c:\windows\system32\hkey.exe

*How to Boot into Safe mode: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...001052409420406
**Show hidden files/folders as per the instructions here http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=190

Also, uncheck the boxes for hiding known file extensions and hiding protected operating system files. We want to see it all. When we finish here, it would be a good idea to rehide the protected operating system files but leave the rest to be shown.

Reboot.

Post another HiJackThis log in this thread for review.

Third:
To fix the NAV issue, try this:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.n...nav&svy=&csm=no

And if that fails:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.n...=&osv=&osv_lvl=
Ratto

The Online AV porgrams had already removed them, so HJT had nothing to do!!

Your log is now clean. Be sure you have an active AV program before you venture back onto the Internet.

And here is some info on Spyware:

To reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster and SpyWareGuard and IE/Spyad if you do not already have them installed.

SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are by JavaCool and both are free programs. SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.

More info and download is available at:
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
SpywareGuard: http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html

IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will several impair attempts to infect your system. It is free.

More info and download is available at:
IE/Spyad:

Good luck, and thanks for coming to Gladiator Security Forums.
