Hello!!
I've been having issues with my PC for the past week. It started off with my home page being re-set to www.thebestse.com, and having various porn sites added to my favorites. I followed instructions to fix this by reading other people's posts on the internet - used Spybot, Adaware, & HijackThis. Now my home page is being set to here4search.com. Can someone please help me? Please Download CoolWebShredder, from

Extract CWShredder to its own folder,
Reboot in Safe Mode*** and run the program.
Click the 'Fix ->' button.
Make sure you let it fix all CWS Remnants.
Afterwards, Please Post a fresh Hijack This log in this thread.

First:
I recommend that you uninstall P2P Networking through Add/Remove Programs.
If/when asked whether you also want to remove Altnet components, say 'Yes'.
P2P Networking is a totally useless Kazaa add-on, and it's been reported to be responsible for serious system slowdowns.
Subsequently remove the P2P Networking folder in C:\Windows\System32, if still there.
Second:
If you didn't install and want NewDotNet, you need to uninstall it. I would recommend it unless it is serving some important purpose. Here are instructions for uninstalling it, DO NOT fix it with HJT or you may lose your internet connection:

Great news, your system is clean at last.
To reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster and SpyWareGuard and IE/Spyad.
SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are by JavaCool and both are free programs. SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
