Yesterday I saw my computer was infected with the isearch hotbar virus and after I'd read the forums and downloaded the requested programs I'm wondering; did I get rid of them all?

This is what Hijack This! showed me after cleaning with Hijack, Ad-aware, Spyware and Spybot:

Thanks for all your help :)
anti-trojan-org
its a lot easier if you post your running processes after you have closed things that dont need to be open, eg mirc, miranda etc.
Its easier to go through what you have running in the background rather then wading through other stuff that doesnt need to be their.

I cant see anything too suspicious but if you could close all your apps down and post another log it would be cool :)

So sorry totally forgot to close them tease.gif

I would suggest it has gone. Have you tried an alternative browser ? eg mozilla, opera etc. You will find that most the exploits that accompany spyware are for IE and by using a different browser you will be a lot safer.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
O16 - DPF: {91413D86-9F27-402C-B5E3-DEBDD122C369} - http://content.netvenda.com/sites/games-se/se/games6.cab

Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Reboot.

Then your system will be clean!

To reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster and SpyWareGuard and IE/Spyad.

SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are by JavaCool and both are free programs. SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.

More info and download is available at:
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
SpywareGuard: http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html

IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will several impair attempts to infect your system. It is free.

More info and download is available at:
