Can you help me get my browser working again? I used PestPatrol to remove the isearch toobar but i cannot close my browser with the X or "File Close" I have to go to ctr-alt-del and then "end task. HELP!

yes well pest patrol doesn't not care about that tool bar but we do

Before we do anything, please move HiJackThis to a permanent folder. I suggest 'c:\program files\hijackthis\' but any folder other than the Desktop or a temporary folder is fine. This will allow us to use backups to restore entries if necessary

Check the following items in HijackThis.

Reboot. (not necessary, but recommended)

I was running ME and I've had a copy of XP sitting in my wallet for about 6 months - I finally decided it was time so I formatted, etc. and now I'm up and running XP.
